Emil G. Racovitza
Emil G. Racovitza was an Antarctic explorer (on the first scientific expedition to Antarctica, Belgica 1887-99), oceanographer and founder of the first Institute of Speleology in the world.

The call for submission to the Emil Racovitza Scientific Research Contest organized
by the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) and the Honorary Consulate of Romania in the Balearic Islands, is active until September 30.
Papers in the fields of biospeleology, marine biology and environmental sciences are accepted from students and young research all over the world. Details and deadline (September 30) are at this link.
